The Very First Wide-Screen Netbook!
Now this is something! Computer manufacturer Kohjinsha in Japan released the very first dual screen netbook. The Kohjinsha DZ has 2 ten-inch screens at 1024x600 that slides apart giving you a wide screen. It's a swivel type laptop meaning to say you can turn the screen around and use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse if you dont want to use the keyboard and the touchpad of the laptop itself. This baby runs AMD Athlon NeoMV-40 (1.6Ghz) which some say runs 2 times better than the 1.6Ghz Atom.
Here's some of the details I was able to get about the DZ:
CPU: AMD Athlon NeoMV-40 (1.6Ghz)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Video: ATI 3200 Graphics GPU
HDD: 160
RAM: 1gb Up to 4gbmax
Swivel Type
2 10.1 inch LCD Screen
Already released in Japan
79,800 Yen
Pesos 41,130.51
894.920 USD
Read more about it on the wow-pow blog
Here is the link to the Kohjinsha Website
However,
Japanese counterpart of Kohjinsha, Onkyo, released the same type of laptop but of higher specs. This time, its with 2 x 1366x768 screens. I think this model was made to kill the Kohjinsha DZ. It was even named next to it, Onkyo DX! same freakin' specs with just a screen upgrade, RAM at 2gb and a hard drive capacity upgrade to 320GB.
Expected to be released December 21, 2009
84,800 Yen
43,707 Pesos
950.993 USD
